The old Ladder Cripples are now outlawed but this scaffold brings the idea to life again in a much safer form.

  • Can be used alone, but when used together with two ladders which are fitted with Ankalad Ladder Stabilisers ( as above ) this provides an exceptionally secure and safe work platform which meets the approval of your Health & Safety inspector.
  • Designed to provide a high level work platform which complies with BS1139 Part 5 / HD1000, the LSD Ladder Staging Brackets fit onto the rungs of any Trade Duty ladder made to EN131 or Industrial Duty ladder made to BS Class 1. Each bracket has an adjustable strut which enables the main support arm to be made horizontal in seconds.
  • Each support bracket comes with an inner and outer corner post which has U-bolts and L-bolts to accept handrails, midrails and toeboards.
  • The whole assembly has been designed for ease of erection and can, in most cases, be erected by one person working alone in under 10 minutes.
  • The system will accept LSD Staging Boards or other brands of Staging Board 600mm or 900mm ( 2 x 450mm ) width.
  • The Third Ladder Bracket enables staging to be joined end-to-end to extend the platform to any required length - using additional ladders for support.
  • The Mid-Board Post Holder, which mounts underneath the staging, accepts a Post at both ends for intermediate support of a double height handrail when stagings are over 3m long.
  • As the series of pictures shows (click here to view), the simplicity of the equipment permits erection and dismantling in easy stages. In most cases this can be achieved by one person working alone and in a very short space of time. Only at platform heights over 3.0m does it become a two person job.
