• Very robust alloy shelf ladders designed for regular use in industrial premises.
  
• Specifically designed for access to storage shelving units etc in warehouses, store rooms or libraries. Also suitable for occasional access to mezzanine floors.
  
• Fitted with a timber cross-rail at the top to rest against shelving or can be fitted with alloy shafting hooks to locate over a rail. Please specify which is required (included in price).
  
• Parallel side stiles 380mm ( 15" ) wide are fitted with ribbed non-slip alloy treads 80mm ( 3" ) deep.  Heavy-Duty industrial models are 362mm ( 14" ) overall width and treads are 89mm ( 3½" ) deep.
  
• Note: If ladders are to be stepped off, for access onto mezzanine floors etc Health & Safety regulations require ladder to extend 1.0m ( 3' 3" ) above the landing point to provide a secure handhold ( unless an alternative rigid hand-hold is available - this can be provided on Shelf Ladder by fitting Top Loop Handrail to one side - state which side is required ).
  
• These standard shelf ladders are just a part of our range - alternatives include sections of extension ladders with hooks at the top, rolling shelf ladders, etc. Please enquire.

• Robustly constructed from industrial duty aluminium for regular access to mezzanine floor storage areas etc.
  
• Note - these are ladders, not stairs, so descent is made facing inwards towards the ladder.
  
• Channel section side stiles fitted with 3½" / 89mm deep non-slip treads at a standard rise of 254mm (Heavy-Duty models).
  
• Overall ladder width normally 500mm but can be made to customer’s dimensions.  Where Top Loop Side Handrails are required BOTH sides we recommend 600mm ladder width to allow easy access for the larger workers!
  
• Heights to suit customers dimensions.
  
• Standard models fitted with alloy angle brackets top and bottom for permanent bolting to floor & wall. Alternatively, can be removable with shafting hooks at the top for hooking over rails and rubber feet at base. Please choose.
  
• Optional handrails - can be supplied both sides, or one side only or none. Handrails are normally Top Loop Side Handrails as illustrated above - top loop rail 1100mm high (HD) or 900mm high (Standard Duty).  Standard handrails can be fitted if preferred.  Where Top Loop Side Handrails are required BOTH sides we recommend 600mm ladder width to allow easy access for the larger workers!
