Product Features
- Ladder Spurs PREVENT OUTWARD SLIP OF LADDER BASE & significantly reduce the chance of sideways slip at the top.
- Amongst the most effective ladder safety products in the UK.
- Footprint width approx 1200mm (4ft) depending on ladder width.
- Each Spur simply wraps around ladder stile and can be attached at any height position to allow for sloping or stepped ground.
- Excellent on ladders with or without base stabiliser bars!
- Robustly constructed from 40mm diameter steel tube with a zinc plated finish.
- Choice of 2 designs …
- SPEEDY-SPURS - very rapidly attached to virtually ANY ladder in less than 1 minute with heavy-duty ratchet straps. Removed in only a few seconds!
- Speedy-Spurs are a particular Lansford Access favourite - very robust, fast to fit & highly effective!
- BUDGET SPURS – equally effective but much slower and more fiddly to fit and remove because four thumbscrews on the U-bolt must be tightened and untightened (& removed) each time. Note: Budget Spurs will not tighten correctly onto ladder stiles less than 67mm deep!!

SPEEDY SPURS – USER GUIDE
Step 1
Set your ladder at 1-in-4 angle and ensure that both feet are on firm stable ground.
Step 2
Fit the Ladder Spurs to the back of the ladder stile and make sure the rubber foot is in contact with the ground
Step 3
Open the ratchet and pass some of the webbing strap through the barrel and crank it up tight.
Step 4
Repeat on other side of ladder. You are now ready to use the ladder.
Step 5
To release, open the ratchet completely, activate the quick release and lift the spur upwards.
SAFETY NOTE Always ensure your ladder is at a 1-in-4 angle:- for every 4 metres up it needs to be 1 metre out.
