  • The 1999 DTI report URN99/707 "Assessment of leaning ladder safety devices" was produced following an assessment of over 80 different devices and states that "Overall, most of the stabilisers were considered to be of limited benefit. However, code DB (Ankalad) proved to be clearly the most effective stabiliser, as the structure created by fitting the device was close to self supporting."
